If you are under 30, you have every right to be angry at me and other people my age. You are being treated as if an experimental Rat in A Cage. Let me explain.
My personal position is that Boomers – and I am demographically right in the crevice between Boomers and X-ers (late Boomer, early X-er) – have really fumbled the ball.
To the extent that is “my’ generation, I apologize. I am sorry. I’ve left the next generation(s) a hot mess.
We’ve left behind a worse situation than we inherited. The list of grievances is long and shocking:
- Student debts have ruined the next generation’s ability to even get started.
- Home prices are flat-out unaffordable.
- 5 million people are suddenly and wordlessly on disability since 2021 (gee, I wonder why?).
- AI is an existential threat to future employment yet the people with the control of capital (*cough* Boomers* cough*) don’t seem to care in the slightest.
- The over-40 crowd now holds an astonishing 90+% of the wealth of the nation, and they seem to have no interest in sharing any of it.
- The “scientific method” – the one last thing that we all hoped was objective – has been proven to be corrupted as well.
- And on and on and on…
The reactions are now sweeping the landscape.
Mamdani has won the mayorship of NYS. Katie Wilson has become the next mayor of Seattle. Both are avowed socialists.
The left is so enraged at their plight that they’ve begun shooting and swatting, and threatening anybody and everybody with even slightly different opinions about things.
None of this is organic. All of it is manufactured. Our country, and others across ‘the West’ are under similar attack.
We are all Rats In A Cage.
Recognizing this early is essential if you want to avoid the worst of what is certainly coming next.
Having this “framing” is essential to navigate what’s coming next…
