Are you exhausted yet? That’s how I’ve been feeling of late, and it may simply be due to the fact that nothing seems to be heading in the right direction.
Or maybe it’s just October and this is when the northern folk begin to fret on some cellular level about whether or not they have enough to make it through the winter. Otherwise, it’s probably because outrageous things keep happening and nothing changes, nobody goes to jail, and we’re clearly headed in the wrong direction.
Like some of you, I had a few hopes that Trump would at least do something to begin dismantling the deep state by arresting many of its key participants and holding them accountable. For the most part, that has not happened.
Sure there have been a few minor charges against a couple of the players, but nothing to match what was either possible or needed.
Worse, the MAGA base, which was a thing to behold, is being systematically broken apart, almost as if by design.
Charlie Kirk’s murder, which every clear-thinking person with even minimal gun experience knows cannot have been done by a .30-06 from the purported shooting position. And now it’s pretty much “case-closed” all that’s left is the trial of Tyler Robinson, and no further inquiries are being made into any of the troubling facts of the case.
More recently, Trump managed to completely alienate cattle ranchers by telling them that they seemed to be ignorant of how much they owed him and that their prices are too high.
