After watching the clouds develop over the months and years leading up to this point, the storm has finally landed.
And it has many fronts all colliding at once. Geopolitical tensions are high, domestic cultural tensions even higher, and the monetary policy errors of the past 50-60 years seem to have decided to land on our shores at this same moment.
But that’s how things tend to work. Slowly…then all at once.
I went off on a bit of a long journey in today’s scouting report, and I won’t try and recreate it here in writing, but it covers:
- The profound incompetence that’s about to be installed at the Federal Reserve
- The vast cross-content printing sprees that are going to be fired up in the next year or so
- The fact that gold and silver and badly underowned by people who otherwise consider themselves to be rich
- Built upon and expanded the energy (shale oil) discussion I had with Adam Rozencwajg this past week
- The absolute sh*tshow coming to the US natural gas markets and residential electricity bills due to a profound failure to plan and an even more profound interest in and weirdly intense dedication to A.I. data centers
- The culture wars and actual wars that are now creating the expectation that we’ve reached the point of “irreconcilable differences” in our relationship with Israel internationally, and the left-progressives domestically.
