Happy Monday, everyone! I am sore all over. But in a good way. We had our work/reskilling ‘party’ this weekend, and it was a supreme joy to meet new people and get to work side-by-side with them. I’ll do a more complete write-up once the pictures from everyone roll in.
40 chickens went into the freezers (we sent about 30 of them off with participants), and 15 cords of wood were split, with two of them now safely tucked and stacked under cover, ready to be wheelbarrowed into our basement wood-fired furnace area when needed…so winter is covered.
Of course, I intend to use as much wood heat as possible this year, because our back-up is oil heat, and you know how I feel about that this year.
