I publish the Fat Pipe on Mondays and Fridays.  It’s designed to keep you up to date and informed.  I have to say that it’s getting harder and harder to find news on Twitter/X than ever.  Something has changed, and the algorithm is suppressing news from the Middle East for me and promoting a lot of AI slop.  It’s gotten so bad that I have had to turn back to outlets like Bloomberg and the WSJ, which is probably the intent of the algo changes?


What Will Trump Do?

There’s lots of speculation about what Trump will do: accept a peace deal that will probably look and taste like losing, or triple down and attack Iran even harder?

Seymour Hersh, whom I trust as an independent and careful reporter, recently penned this in his Substack:

America’s love affair with Israel has hit an astonishing bump because President Donald Trump, in a political panic over the economic fallout from the Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, is now “talking to Iran,” as an Israeli insider put it, about ending the current impasse in return for a payment from the United States of at least $25 billion, and possibly much more, to the government in Tehran. In return, Iran would end its blockade and open the strait to all traffic, ending a crisis for Trump, the US, and much of the world.
