I need to begin by stating that the ALERT I issued a week ago remains in full effect.  Evie and I have been doing extra shopping, filling all fuel containers, and buying more backup batteries.

Truthfully, I’ve grown more concerned as the week has progressed.  The global energy shock is going to surprise the world.  It shouldn’t because it’s the most obvious thing ever. But far too many years of complacency borne of financial engineering and market rigging has weakened the link between cause and effect for a large number of people.

This is the year that reality intrudes.  And it’s going to hit like a freight train.’

It’s A Religious War

At the top of my concerns is the idea that the Iran war is actually a religious war.  Whenever beliefs are in the driver’s seat, irrational decisions are the rule not the exception.

Bibi is clear on the matter.  When discussing Palestinians or Persians, he invokes “Amalek” which defines an existential enemy that must be decisively confronted and defeated.
