Well, it was yet another wild weekend of wild news.  Welcome to The Quickening (a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Enshittification).

The Epstein Files

Remember, on the campaign trail, Trump said he’d release the Epstein files, then Bondi “released” a bunch of old Epstein material to a bunch of “conservative influencers” who mostly are pro-Zionists for some weird reason.  Then Trump said there were no files, then he said they were a hoax, and anybody from the MAGA side who believed anything differently was no longer welcome in the party and could slink off and die for all he cared.

Not really, he actually said, “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats’ work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

Then Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna got a bill passed in November 2025 requiring (forcing?) the DOJ to release the files without any redactions except to (1) protect victim privacy, (2) to protect active investigations, (3) withholding ‘images of harm,’ and (4) classified information.

Well, wouldn’t you know it!  There were more than 6 million files, which is a far cry from “none,” and virtually every single name in emails that were not Jeffrey Epstein or one of his staff were redacted.

Also, I guess reason #4 above isn’t a good reason to redact any names, at least according to Todd Blanche of the DOJ, who said there would be no more arrests or prosecutions.  Annoyingly, he used the “Kash Defense” by effectively saying, “Do you really think that if we had solid evidence, we wouldn’t bring charges?”  Yes, Todd, we do.  We think exactly that.

Unsurprisingly, the idea of rich people abusing our daughters and getting away with it is not sitting well with a lot of people:

The files are deeply disturbing, and I will not recount them here.
