I hope you had a happy Easter. Let’s dive in…
Tit For Tat
The war carries on. Israel struck one of Iran’s largest petrochemical plants, which will put a huge dent in chemical precursors and feedstocks for a very long time. Israel announced it did it, and will continue to attack Iran’s petrochemical infrastructure, presumably because Israel has no interest in the war winding down.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz:The IDF forcefully struck Iran's largest petrochemical plant. This key facility accounts for about 50% of Iran's petrochemical output. This follows an attack on Iran's second-largest facility last week.As a result, both facilities, which… pic.twitter.com/DOYQ4iHVFK

Israel continues to be pounded daily, but we’re still in a near-perfect blackout of information:

The Israeli government only allows images out when it suits their PR campaign:

What we can’t know is if the weapon that struck the residential building was aimed at it, or was knocked off course by defensive armaments, or if it was the defensive armaments themselves that fell back down on the civilian area.
“They hate us for no reason!”

The Worst Oil Shortage In History
This is a great three minute explainer on why the oil shortages haven’t bitten as hard as you might expect (due to shipping lag times) and why the shortages will not recover quickly. Highly recommended:

“Somebody” sure does want a massive oil shock to rampage across the globe. Russia is under sustained attacks on its oil-exporting facilities:

Yes, it is weird how very few people seem to be aware of the consequences:
I don't think most people seem to realize we're about to have the worst oil shortage in history. It's really weird.

Chris Whalen speaks of the second- and third-order effects that will impact us all:
