Hello everyone.  Chris Martenson here.  Just ducking in to say that I am taking a small bit of time off here in August because, well, I desperately need it.  And it’s not actually taking time off, per se, I am devoting my energy to re-writing The Crash Course so we can release a revised edition later this year.  I am under contract with Wiley to deliver a manuscript by early September so…

And I am pretty much all wrung out at the moment, which I know because as soon as I diverted my attention to the book, my body took over and demanded I sleep a lot and then nap whenever I could.  Yes, even I need a break from time to time.  There have been a huge number of stresses this year, not least of which is caring for Evie who is going through an exceptionally difficult process of weaning herself off of chronic prescription drugs…more from her on that later, if or when she’s ready to share.  I simply hate not being able to do anything besides be emotionally supportive as I want to find a fix or at least a better way.  Now that we’ve done what we can in that department, it’s just a long waiting process as healing takes time from some of these nasty compounds.  (As if I didn’t already have a sour taste about what our medical system does to people callously and indifferently).
