It's been a busy few weeks for Janet Yellen. She's had a number of off-cycle meetings with her Federal Reserve staff as well as President Obama. What has merited such a flurry of unusual meetings?

We don't know. And it doesn't look like the Fed is going to divulge it reasons anytime soon.

But many are wondering if this is all in preparation for a big news 'surprise' in the near future. Possibly a big bank, likely European, that needs to be bailed out (or 'in'). Or a re-seizure of the credit markets. Either way, the prognosticators aren't offering too many sanguine alternatives.
