What a difference a week makes…
Chris and Charles sit down this week to discuss the sudden outbreak of deflationary forces around the world, making investors feel queasy that the years-long ride of relentlessly upward prices may now have reversed.
They start with China and the rapid down-draft its stock market is suffering: down 25% in the past 3 weeks(!). Chris predicts this will impact the 'giant pool of money' sloshing into the US and other markets from China. Translation: expect lower prices — of everything — ahead.
They then move on to Greece. Ugh. Talk about a country with no good options. It's looking increasingly like the long-denied Grexit may happen. What will that mean? A lot of debt that won't get repaid. Chris and Charles speculate the only question that matters, one that has been avoided at all costs up to this date: Who is going to have to eat the losses?
