This is a special Scouting Report. I wasn’t planning on producing one, but Nepal’s revolution came along and deserves a closer look.
What happened was “Gen Z” rose up and tossed out the highly corrupt, self-serving communist government (but I’m repeating myself).
This is a hugely important event, and we know this because it is receiving very little to no coverage in the West. I think this is because ‘they’ don’t want any of us to get any ideas over here, such as how easy it is to toss the bums out if you have a little gumption.
In that respect, Nepal is my feel-good story of the week. They have shown what’s possible.
The quick summary of why the revolution happened is a fairly typical story. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.
Government officials lived high on the hog, granting themselves larger and larger portions of the country’s treasure and income, while the lower classes and especially the youth were ignored and gaslit.
Then a firebrand young gentleman came along, ignited his generation, and things started to spread quickly.
So the government decided to shut down all social media to prevent the flames from spreading.
Oops.
It turns out shutting off the youth’s social media is a bridge too far.
