More than a year ago I took Peak Prosperity listeners through the convincing evidence that pointed to the distinct possibility that SARS-CoV-2 could have come from a lab.
Personally? I feel the probabilities are a 90% chance that SARS-CoV-2 came from a lab and a 10% that it arose naturally.
However, dozens of prominent virologists in the US were adamant that the virus could only have arisen naturally. The data said so! Their arguments were that no human could have designed the virus that causes Covid-19, it didn’t have any known ‘backbone’ and that it had signs that it had been through a live animal (so therefore it couldn’t have been made in a lab!).
The problem was, each of these “arguments” were totally and completely fabricated. They are the very essence of “anti-science.”
Which means the US mainstream media, being as untrained and anti-science as they actually are (despite their opposite claims to the contrary), bought these bogus ideas hook, line and sinker.
At least one level of skepticism ought to have been lodged in the idea that the US and world virologists making the loudest claims of “it has to be natural!” were mostly the ones with the most to lose should it turn out to have originated in a lab.
