Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has announced a naval blockade on Saudi ports in the Red Sea, deploying anti-ship missiles and increasing activity along the Saudi border and in the Bab al-Mandab Strait corridor. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree described the action as a response to a Saudi-led coalition strike on Sanaa International Airport. Saree stated that further Saudi aggression would make Saudi energy facilities targets for missiles and drones. Saudi Arabia has condemned the blockade claim and vowed a forceful response to safeguard Red Sea shipping.
Meanwhile, the IRGC claimed strikes on US assets at Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait and Al Muharraq and Riffa air bases in Bahrain, reporting hits on an AN/FPS-117 radar, Patriot batteries, and satellite communications. Per Fars News, the IRGC also claimed the destruction of an Amazon data hub in Bahrain. The IRGC has reportedly warned 18 US tech firms that their regional facilities are targets. US and allied officials have not confirmed the reported damage from the strikes.
A recent analysis on X highlights how Iran has strategically selected targets to dismantle the US military ecosystem across Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. Rather than chasing symbolic strikes, Iran has focused on early warning radars, air defense systems, logistics hubs, aviation facilities, and intelligence nodes that form the backbone of regional power projection. This methodical approach degrades surveillance, strains interceptor supplies through simultaneous defenses, and disrupts sustainment for future operations. By isolating key support infrastructure, Iran has shaped the battlespace in line with established principles of warfare.
Relatedly, the Washington Post reported that US stockpiles of Patriot and THAAD interceptors and precision munitions have been depleted by recent operations. The report states that officials assess that the US could not sustain a larger war without strain. The US has deployed additional F-16s, F-35s, and tankers to the region.

The Trump administration has drafted a civil nuclear agreement with Saudi Arabia that permits uranium enrichment, although the draft has not been sent to Congress. Unlike the UAE agreement, it does not require the IAEA Additional Protocol. Some observers have framed the move in the context of regional conflicts involving Iran.
Moscow and its suburbs were attacked by more than 400 Ukrainian drones, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. At least ten people were injured. Wildberries logistics centers in Kotovsk and Elektrostal were hit, killing eight. Kyiv stated the sites stored drone components. Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Crimea were also targeted.

First, Chevron has shut in production at its Petronius platform and evacuated nonessential personnel from Tubular Bells and Blind Faith ahead of Tropical Depression Two. The National Hurricane Center has issued a tropical storm watch from Florida’s Ochlockonee River to Louisiana. Earth Science Associates estimates up to 2 million barrels of oil production could be lost. Production continues normally at the company’s other Gulf assets.
Second, NASA Goddard researchers reported that solar wind energy transfer into Earth’s polar ionosphere shows no upper limit, based on analysis of over one million data points. Co-author Dr. Maria Walach stated that extreme space weather models must account for this finding. A 2014 Lloyd’s of London study estimated a Carrington-scale event could cause blackouts affecting 20 to 40 million people for 16 days to two years.
Economy
ADAPT IM’s analysis of recent shifts in market structure covered seven key areas and concluded that these unprecedented trends have collectively fragilized liquidity dynamics across the financial system, heightening risks in an untested environment. Private credit firms purchased nearly 14 times more consumer debt in 2025 than in 2024, with US banks extending $300 billion to such vehicles, while passive investing now accounts for nearly 60% of European equity fund assets. The ECB estimates that each 1% rise in passive ownership increases EURO STOXX correlation by 0.45%. These changes tilt the balance toward procyclical “fragilizers” at the expense of stabilizers, creating greater opacity, concentration, and vulnerability to shocks.
A piece by Quoth the Raven warns that Wall Street is repeating dangerous 2008-era practices by structuring insurance-wrapped private-credit bonds that allow lower regulatory capital requirements. The fund-finance market is estimated at $1 trillion to $1.75 trillion. Its main conclusion is that these structures do not eliminate risk but merely relocate, obscure, and reduce capital held against it—spreading exposure to insurers, pensions, and other institutions in ways that echo AIG’s CDS role and could amplify contagion in a downturn.
