I’m back! Thanks for holding down the fort, everyone. It was terrific to be away from it all for a while. It’s going to take me a while to catch up on all the great conversations that were happening at Peak, as well as the rest of the world.
I am rested, refreshed, and ready to keep on scouting for y’all while also producing the renewed Crash Course and dialing in on how to become more resilient.

Trump Sternly Warns Russia and India
For better or worse, Trump’s diplomatic style is to bully and berate anybody who isn’t doing exactly what he wants. I suppose that might work on weaker countries with no leverage, but larger countries like India and Russia?
It doesn’t seem to be working out all that well.
Trump wants Russian oil cut out from the global market, and he’s leaning on India to get his way:
What’s weird about that moral flex about people in Ukraine being killed by the Russian War machine, is that the US is currently participating in legally defined war crimes in Gaza by starving a displaced civilian population, which is to say nothing of the obvious moral abominations involved.
You can be sure that slip-o-the-conscience isn’t being missed by the rest of the world.
India wasted no time in saying, “Go pound sand.”
To which Trump then somewhat petulantly threw in the towel on both Russia and India:
Weirdly, the EU is also funding the war in Ukraine by buying both oil and gas from Russia, yet Trump is deafeningly quiet on that matter:
