I’m struck by how control has shifted from physical slavery to a more subtle system of debt, where people trade decades of work to repay money created with just a few clicks. With debt growing exponentially and real-world limits tightening, this system looks increasingly unsustainable. And a veiled power struggle is underway over what replaces it.
