A declassified annex from the Durham investigation claims that Hillary Clinton approved a plan to connect Donald Trump with Russian hackers to influence public perceptions of U.S. elections, with alleged FBI involvement to support the narrative. Separately, DNI Tulsi Gabbard has cited a whistleblower’s account of being pressured by a supervisor to endorse an intelligence assessment related to a Russia hoax, reportedly directed by the Obama administration, despite the whistleblower’s belief that it lacked credibility.
Gabbard has also claimed that the CIA’s alleged media manipulation program, Operation Mockingbird, is still active and has pledged to work toward dismantling it. Declassified documents from the 1975 Church Committee reportedly detail this initiative, suggesting efforts to influence public opinion through media since the late 1970s. However, the CIA has publicly denied the continuation of any such program, and mainstream outlets like The Washington Post have criticized these allegations as lacking concrete evidence.
In other domestic news, inconsistencies have been reported in official statements about Jeffrey Epstein’s 2019 death in custody. Analysis of FBI surveillance footage from the Metropolitan Correctional Center reportedly does not align with then-Attorney General William Barr’s statement that no one entered Epstein’s housing area, as the video does not clearly show key access points, prompting questions about the investigation’s transparency. The FBI, however, maintains that the footage supports their conclusion of suicide, despite its limitations, as stated in an official post.
Geopolitics
Tensions in the Middle East remain a focal point as the U.S. Senate rejected two resolutions by Sen. Bernie Sanders to block arms sales to Israel, with votes of 73–24 and 70–27, amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza following Hamas’s October 2023 attack. Israel states that its operations target Hamas to limit civilian casualties, while Gaza’s Hamas-run Ministry of Health reports over 60,000 deaths, though these figures have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department has imposed sanctions on Palestinian Authority and PLO officials, citing non-compliance with peace commitments and alleged support for terrorism through incitement and payments to individuals involved in attacks, coinciding with ceasefire discussions in Israel. Israel has also reportedly issued an ultimatum to Hamas, threatening annexation of Gaza’s outer perimeter, including the Philadelphi Corridor, if the latest ceasefire proposal is rejected. The Palestinian Authority has condemned the U.S. sanctions as an obstacle to peace, while Al Jazeera reports international concern over Israel’s annexation threat as a potential violation of international law.
These developments occurs amid increasing Western criticism and plans by France, the UK, and Canada to recognize a Palestinian state at the upcoming UN assembly, a move Israel’s government has publicly opposed. In response to this news, Trump has stated that Canada’s potential recognition of Palestinian statehood could impact trade agreements, indicating possible economic consequences over foreign policy differences.

In the United Kingdom, the Online Safety Act of 2023, enforced by Ofcom, requires facial recognition and age verification for internet access to protect children from harmful content. According to surveys, 80% of UK adults support measures such as strict checks on adult websites. However, critics have raised concerns about potential biometric surveillance, loss of online anonymity, risks to free speech, algorithmic bias, and data misuse. Some warn that the law could set a precedent for broader digital control, as platforms face significant fines for non-compliance. The Open Rights Group has echoed these privacy concerns, while Ofcom emphasizes the importance of these measures for child safety online.

Retired Air Force Major Tom Haviland has reported concerns about white fibrous clots observed in the veins and arteries of individuals vaccinated against COVID-19. Through his “Worldwide Embalmer Blood Clot Survey,” which collected responses from 301 embalmers in 2024, 83% indicated they had seen these clots in deceased individuals. Haviland, along with cardiologist Dr. Mohannad Bisharat, who claims to have extracted similar clots from living patients, alleges that information about these findings is being suppressed. According to Haviland, Bisharat was instructed to refrain from discussing the issue and faced potential professional consequences for doing so. Haviland has also stated that his efforts to bring attention to this matter through major media outlets have been unsuccessful, citing a lack of response from key figures. However, medical experts and health authorities, as reported by Reuters and The Guardian, have found no scientific evidence linking these clots to the COVID-19 vaccine, urging reliance on peer-reviewed research for such claims.
