As you hopefully know, I take issuing ALERTS very seriously. I understand the impact they will have on my followers because they have the same impact on Evie and myself. They cause actions to be undertaken. They spur decisions.
When I release an ALERT, it’s because an internal threshold has been breached. I cannot always provide full certainty for the outcomes I am concerned about because the future is never certain. Instead, the future is a sea of potentialities, a churn of risks that are sometimes ebbing and sometimes growing.
I consider it prudent to hedge against growing risks. If I were in Germany right now I’d be thinking seriously about what I’d do about the possibility of war with Russia. Later, that risk might ebb, and we’d lessen our concerns. But the key part about adjusting to new risks is time. The sooner the better!
What Elon said about the magic money machines instantly crystallized for me because I have 20+ years of diving deeply into the systems of money creation at the Fed.
Appropriately (and I should endeavor to point out welcomed and encouraged by me) some people challenged the premise of the ALERT. Namely, what if Elon didn’t know WTF he was talking about, or was sloppy in his phrasing, or had it all wrong?
Importantly, subscriber rhare actually has 30 years of experience in exactly the sort of interbank payment messaging and settlement systems that Elon seemed to not just call into question, but completely violate.
