Cyberattacks
The fridge hackers have reportedly set their sights on blood banks. France’s blood service said a supplier hack raised fridge temperatures at three sites, but alarms allowed a transfer and no products were lost. Previously, European supermarket coolers in Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Italy, and Germany were driven to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, spoiling food, including at 15 Carrefour stores in Belgium, after an October attack on hundreds of French shops.

Two of three Russian diesel tankers bound for the United States diverted after New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill instructed operators not to unload what she termed illegal Russian fuel, saying the president lacks blanket waiver power. The Leruo turned toward Brazil, the Talisman into the Mediterranean, and the Agioi Fanendes continued toward New York. Inventories had dropped below 100 million barrels for the first time since 2003. Trump’s October agreement with Putin sought imports while diesel traded near $6.29 a gallon.
In Venezuela, North American Blue Energy Partners disputed a Reuters report that the firm may be unable to hire, obtain rigs, or fund 100-year Venezuelan concessions covering about 65 billion barrels and a $100 billion outlay. The company said 41 of 60 rigs would be in-country in November, output rose from 18,000 to 223,000 barrels a day in two years on about $1 billion of its own capital, and oil revenues pay for the rigs. Chevron, Eni, and others have also signed under the U.S.-backed interim government.
In Africa, Afreximbank and regional oil producers opened the Africa Energy Bank in Abuja on October 31 to fund oil and gas projects as Western lenders withdraw under climate rules. Authorized capital is $5 billion, with about $500 million raised. It seeks up to $10 billion for 2027 refinery and pipeline projects in a region where 600 million people lack electricity. Reports state China has lent $182 billion since 2000 and built about 23 GW through contractor loans that bypass host treasuries.
US Politics
Texas Rep. Brian Harrison urged outgoing Gov. Greg Abbott to call a special session in the last ten weeks of GOP control to curb emergency powers before Democrat Gina Hinojosa takes office. His bill would bar statute suspensions, end orders after 30 days unless the Legislature ratifies them, block reissues, and require narrow tailoring. Barring any changes, once assuming the governorship, Hinojosa can stop Operation Lone Star and Guard work in ICE jails by order, but SB 4 detainer rules and SB 8’s 287(g) jail mandate need the Legislature, and Republicans still hold the Senate. She voted against both SB 4 bills and vowed not to stage ICE in Texas.
Meanwhile, a Honduran caravan left San Pedro Sula the day after Democrats swept the midterms, the third since September. Migrants said they hoped a Democratic Congress would ease enforcement. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said they would be turned away.
Geopolitics
On Judging Freedom, Aaron Maté said the CIA remains deeply involved in Ukraine, still helping with targeting and providing intelligence while operating 12 secret bases, according to the New York Times. The agency also orchestrated the drone campaign against Russian energy facilities that Trump later opposed, yet continues its operations as normal despite the shift.
Economy
Paraguay’s central bank seized Ueno Bank after solvency sank below half the legal floor, freezing about 3 million accounts and $800 million to $850 million in public money, including $380 million of pension funds. President Santiago Peña was a partner of the owner group until March 2025 and had named former Ueno chief Carlos Carvallo to the central bank. Depositors are guaranteed about $38,000. Crowds demanded Peña’s exit, Carvallo resigned, the CEO surrendered, five executives were detained, and the opposition pushed impeachment. President Peña described the matter as an isolated case of one entity rather than a problem of the national financial system and said those responsible would face justice.
In the U.S., Outback’s largest domestic franchisee, Out West Restaurant Group, filed Chapter 11 for 61 restaurants in five western states after debt rose from $269 million in 2020 to about $449 million. The CEO cited falling traffic and higher food and labor costs, with more than half of staff in California. Bloomin’ Brands offered $26.3 million for the assets and up to $5.5 million in emergency funds, saying stores stay open. A major Wendy’s franchisee filed weeks earlier.
Artificial Intelligence
Google will reportedly revoke Search if schools ban Gemini because Search and AI are integrated. Guided Learning is coming to Search and Classroom. Education VP Chris Phillips said banned-AI campuses will see Search blocked. DuckDuckGo said Google could switch AI off for schools. Clayton Morris of Redacted warned of spoon-fed answers and cited Google’s CIA and NSA origins. Google has stated that the changes give schools more choice, with Gemini and related tools off by default until administrators opt in.
Meanwhile, astronomers modeling FCC filings said orbital data centers could place about 100 times more visible satellites than stars in the sky at some hours. Filings imply some 1.2 million SpaceX satellites, 51,600 for Blue Origin, and 20,000 for Cowboy Space. At 30 degrees latitude on a winter evening, they counted about 98,000 SpaceX objects brighter than magnitude 5 versus about 500 stars. A million-satellite fleet with five-year lives would require a disposal every three minutes. The American Astronomical Society asked the FCC to deny SpaceX’s bid. Elon Musk has said cooling is much easier in space, with an aluminum radiator pointed away from the Sun easily achieving about 1,300 watts per square meter.

Jesse Beltran and Caroline Mansfield claimed that graphene, silicon-oxide, and semiconductor nanowires in human tissue emit radio frequencies, register as MAC addresses, and can be remotely controlled. Beltran stated he detected those frequencies on COVID-positive subjects in an anechoic chamber and a 3 km deep cave, but not on uninfected controls. They reported that a 22-person nonlinear-junction study found high silicon signals at the nasal bone, larynx, jaw joints, and shoulders. After 63 days of zeolite Z, they said emissions fell 79 percent. Beltran and Mansfield linked GHOST nanotech, 5-nanometer implants, vaccines, MK-Ultra, and Starlink to what they described as nonconsensual control worse than nuclear weapons. The FDA, Pfizer, and fact-checkers, including the Associated Press, have stated that graphene oxide is not an ingredient in COVID-19 vaccines.

Ten Weeks Left: Texas GOP Urges Abbott to Curb Emergency Powers Before Democrat Takeover
We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, which would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat.
