Happy Monday! Let’s dive in…
It’s Just Lies All the Way Down
What is even real anymore? Increasingly, and perhaps thoroughly, among the population that actually pays attention, the answer is “nothing.”
It’s just lies all the way down.
As an analyst and an information scout, this makes my job more and more difficult. Add on top of that AI slop that is indistinguishable from real, without going through a lot of effort, and the time and effort to determine real from fiction is exponentially harder than it was 2 years ago.
I think that’s by design. There are only so many minutes in a day and only so much brain energy that can be set against a task in any given block of time. If those minutes can be wasted, and the brain energy expended on fictions and AI slop, then this serves two purposes.
First, it wears the curious minds down, perhaps with the aim of getting those minds to shut down and give up. Second, it causes individuals to begin to doubt everything.
In other words, it’s basic 5th Generation warfare PsyOps.
The recent interview of Sean Ryan on the Tucker Carlson show was really good and pretty dark. In it, Sean explains how he now sees that everything is “all lies.”

He also said elsewhere in the interview that when he needs to get his equilibrium back, he has to put his phone down for a week. His phone has become a source of negativity and confusion for him.
There’s a reason for that…
Champagne Joshi wrote a wonderful summary of this new dynamic in our lives. His first few paragraphs capture the essence of how AI has really goosed the power of these activities.
