The Ukranian misadventure has killed or wounded several hundred thousand, it is thought, on both sides.  There’s no end in sight.  The U.S. continues to escalate the situation by pushing more advanced (and expensive) weapons into the conflict.

At the end of the day, all wars have to be economically viable.  They have to return at least as much as they cost.

If a nation spends $100 billion but only gets back $10 billion of new trade or debt repayment, then the war was a drain.  No returns.  Do that enough and you go broke.

The U.S. and its (bullied) allies will never get back what they are pouring into Ukraine and they know that.  So, the conquest has to be about some sort
