Chris and John have a surprisingly heated conversation on the madness of the trajectory being pursued by the entrenched establishment. More and more, it feeds itself at the expense of the opportunities of those it purports to serve. As Chris remarks:

This trend isn’t going away. I just recorded a podcast with David Stockman. He has a whole book out that confirms to the thinking you and I have had for a long time which is that the Central Bank policies are highly political and that they reward some and punish others. That is a very political thing to do – stealing from Granny to give to Citibank is a political act. Middle America — what David Stockman is calling "fly-over America" — is pissed. They get it. They get the monkey anger. They are getting cucumbers and everybody else is getting grapes in this story and they get it.

The level of tone deafness is carried on at the Fed.  Janet, you are screwing people over and you are using your little models to hide behind. The truth of the matter is the Fed is now 96 months into punishing some while rewarding others.
